After a well attended launch in the local library in Killin in March 1999, there seemed to be local enthusiasm for a Salt of the Earth group to begin there immediately. However, busy village life prevented many interested parties from being involved fully. Members of the Killin Heritage Society attended training sessions in the use of the recording equipment and have made valuable contributions to date.
