Scotland - Our Headquarters

If you live in Scotland or elsewhere in the UK, you should join the Society in Scotland.

Our headquarters are located at The Vaults in Leith, the harbor of Edinburgh. The Vaults are one of the oldest commercial buildings in Scotland and just a few minutes from the city centre. Members and their guests are always welcome - we offer club facilities with a Members' Room and Bar, which we converted from splendid Victorian offices. Light lunches are served 6 days a week, and malt whisky tastings are held on a regular basis. There are two well-appointed flats available for members and their friends who are visiting Edinburgh. For members who cannot visit us in Edinburgh, we also hold whisky tastings at venues around the country. These are as much social occasions as serious guides to whisky, and you are welcome to bring guests.

Membership Details

Membership in Scotland costs £50 for the first year and £20 per year thereafter. The first year's subscription includes an introductory bottle of whisky. If you prefer, you may join for £25 without the introductory bottle.

Important note: The Society headquarters cannot send whisky to addresses outside of the UK. If you live outside the UK, you should join the overseas branch serving your country. If none of the branches serves your country, please contact the branch nearest to you for further information.

Because the Society sells alcoholic beverages, we need to have your signature certifying that you are of legal drinking age. As we are not set up to verify digital signatures, this means that you need to send in your application by fax or by post.
