A guest house with a difference!

Situated some 3 miles south of the picturesque coastal town of Stonehaven, at the gateway to Royal Deeside. Surrounded by farmland and rolling hills at the northern end of the Howe of the Mearns this is an ideal 'base camp' for an active Scottish holiday; or a place to relax and 'recharge your batteries'. Historic Dunnottar Castle, an ancient fortress stands on an imposing promentory, and is within easy walk. Coastal fishing villages and walks abound. There's wildlife in abundance - seals, puffins and dolphins in secluded coves; deer and birdlife frequent the marshland to one side of the house. After a busy day, why not curl up with a book from our library and a mug of coffee by our log fire?

We are within easy reach of the City of Aberdeen some 15 miles to the north. The the A90 trunk road is just one mile away, close enough for access but far enough to afford us peace and quiet. The journey time to Aberdeen city centre is no more than 15-20 minutes even in peak hours although we guarantee you'll feel a world away with us!

Access is further facilitated by the Railway Station at Stonehaven, which is served by local Edinburgh/Glasgow-Aberdeen services and also by Intercity/ Caledonian Sleeper services to & from London.

Our bedrooms are tastefully decorated, all with en-suite bathroom facilities. All rooms have colour remote control television and complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities. Trouser press available.

A full range of breakfasts from full Scottish through to more health conscious cereals, yoghurts and fruit are offered. Picnic lunches prepared to order from fresh ingredients.

Fully equipped Gymnasium, Mountain bicycles and Sauna are available for guest use.

"Double Bubble" available on request (Sunken bath filled with hot bubble bath, and chilled Champagne for two).

Relax in our lounge with our log burning fire to keep you warm and a book from our library to read.
