Day
1. Arrive Oristano:
your hotel is in a quiet location near SAN SALVATORE SINIS,
11km west of Oristano . Collect cycles and route briefing.
Day 2. Circular tour from SAN SALVATORE SINIS 32ml(52km)
Travel through the fascinating Sinis wetlands where there are
colonies of pink flamingo and reach one of the most beautiful
spots on the island, the white quartz beach of Is Arutas. After
a visit to the Phoenician ruins of Tharros, return to the hotel.
Day 3. SAN SALVATORE SINIS - ARBUS 29ml(46km)
After a transfer to Arborea, cycle through the natural beauty
spots of the Costa Verde, some of the most savage scenery on the
island to reach Piscinas beach with its 50 m high sands dunes.
Continue to overnight at Arbus
Day 4. ARBUS - NEBIDA 30ml(49km)
Today's ride takes you back to ancient mining past of Sardinia
at the fascinating abandoned mines of Ingortosu and Planusartu.
After the golden beach of Portixeddu and looming mass of Pan di
Zucchero cliff, visit the old ore washery at Nebida, nestling
in the varied colours of the Mediterranean bush, it looks out
over the sea at the end of a long descent of 540 steps.
Day 5. NEBIDA - CALASETTA 27ml(43km)
After a beautiful descent to Fontanamare, reach Porto Scuso and
the ferry to the island of Carloforte, where locals still fish
for Red Tuna. From Carloforte, continue to the Island of Sant'
Antioco and end your day in Calasetta.

6. CALASETTA - S.ANNA ARRESI 27ml(43km)
Pedal through the meadows of the Isle of Sant' Antioco, green
in springtime, golden yellow in the summer and enjoy the peace
of the rolling plains of the Sulcis. At Tratalias, visit the Pisan
sanctuary, an important monument of the Sardinian Romanesque period.
Day 7. S.ANNA ARRESI - PULA 37ml(60km)
The
tour continues along the south coast with its gleaming white beaches,
unspoilt natural landscape and imposing cliffs: pass Cape Malfatano
with its 16th Century tower and Cape Spartivento before arriving
at Pula.
