TOURS
IN POLAND
Now
that Poland is a member of the European Community the time seems
opportune to introduce you to this beautiful country. This first
tour takes you to the north-east of the country, to an unspoilt
land of more than 3000 lakes and massive forests. Choose either
the guided or the self-guided option and explore an area of great
natural beauty as yet unaffected by mass tourism. The second is
a new tour following the great Vistula River through some of Poland's
historic cities. There are good flight connections at reasonable
prices from UK to Warsaw and you will be surprised to learn that
the flying time is less than to many other popular European destinations.
With favourable currency rates and a less developed economy you
will find Poland a great value destination.
THE
GREAT MASURIAN LAKES 7 Nights/8 Days
The
central part of Masuria known as the Land of the Great Masurian
Lakes has the largest concentration of lakes in the whole of Poland,

are the Sniardwy and the Mamry which are interconnected by several
rivers
and canals and also have water-connections to many other lakes in
the area, making the Masuria excellent for boating. There are numerous
towns where boats and canoes can be rented and maps are available.
Boating,.walking, horse riding and cycling are ideal ways to explore
this beautiful region. Explore the lakeside trails and massive forests.
No rushing- just meander along at your own pace, pausing to view
this wonderful, quiet natural world. Visit ancient churches and
picturesque lakeside towns and do not miss the expanse of cracked
concrete which was once Hitler's Headquarters during World War 2.
