TOURS
IN IRELAND
The
ideal way to see Ireland is from a bicycle saddle! Escape comes
easily on an Irish country road as you fill your lungs with fresh
clean air and beautiful green countryside is all around. Mountains,
rivers, seascapes such as you have never seen before and at the
end of the day a satisfying meal of local produce washed down with
a pint of Guinness! Some hills perhaps but the routes are designed
to go between them not over the tops. Some rain maybe but then the
sun will come out to make the countryside shine with colour. Either
of the two tours listed below offer an experience you will always
remember so give us a call.
CONNEMARA,
GALWAY AND MAYO
Connemara
is perfect cycling country, where roads go around the hills rather
than over them. The scenery changes from dramatic mountain ranges
and fjords to sweeping open bogland and rocky fractured coastline.
From the bustling bohemian city of Galway travel north by Lough
Mask to the scenic riverside town of Westport in Mayo. Enjoy wonderful
coastal and mountain views on the route to Leenane and Roundstone.
Carraroe is famous for its fine beaches and the nearby ferry from
Rossaveal takes you to the Aran island of Inis Mor. Explore the
island's sandy lanes, historic Iron Age forts and early Christian
stone churches before ending your enjoyable tour in Galway. Itinerary
WEST
CORK & KERRY
This tour covers some of Ireland's most
spectacular scenery. From Killarney cycle between the majestic lakes
which have made this area so famous and climb to Molls gap for wonderful
views of the Macgillycuddyreeks, Irelands highest mountain range.
The rest of the week involves more stunning scenery with a wonderful
coastal cycle along Kenmare Bay and the twisted mountains of the
Beara Peninsula. The rest day is spent on the beautiful Beara Peninsula in Castletownbere. Towards the end of the week journey
inland and stay at a lovely lakeside retreat of Gougane Barra at the source of the
River Lee before the final cycle over the wild and remote hills
of the Coolea region to Killarney. Itinerary
