We have produced a slide and
tape show. The soundtrack has music and sound effects and the
children read some of their poems and raps. (Full

They also explain about
conditions around the school and how people, especially parents,
can help to stop the vicious
circle.
We have shown the slide show
to all the children in the school and on the 12th of May (1998)
over 100 parents and some special guests came to see it and all
the pictures, maps and graphs that we have produced.
Three local councillors
turned up - Moyra
Forrest (Liberal),
Bob
Cairns (Labour ) and
Douglas
MacKenzie
(Conservative). Councillor Cairns is the Convenor of the Planning
Committee and he is also on the Education Committee along with
Councillor Mackenzie.
Several officials from the
City Development Department also came to hear what
we
want to be done near
the school.
We gave a special
report about our
project to Councillor Forrest, who is the councillor where the
school is. She seems very keen to help.
