This project was developed by Heather Peacock, Educational Internet Consultant, John Wilson, Technical Advisor and Sara Dodd, Project Manager as an extension of an Internet Training programme. The idea of the project was to connect two Edinburgh Primary Schools to the Internet for the summer term and to offer the students and teachers training on how to use the Internet within their existing curriculum and class project work. To develop their skills further, the project will also teach and assist students in creating a school web site at each school showing current work and creating a forum through CUSEEME video conferencing to discuss ideas, projects and resources with other schools connected to the net. The project is being run in collaboration with the City of Edinburgh Education Department and with the generous support of local and national sponsors, including LEEL.
