Welcome to EraseR's QuakeII Zone. Map of the Moment: Stroggs Garage high quality multiplayer map with some cool laser effects
Started another new job today, I've already got another one for the weekends as well, and I'm still at college! So basically I've got a lot less spare time so I'm gonna have to celbrate my last free weeknight of fragging tonight in style. Basically I'll only be able to play late Friday nights, and Saturday and Sunday nights and even then I normally go out on Fri and Sun nights :( I've still got plenty of daytime free so I can still do this, ah well I'll just have to keep reminding myself about the money. Anyway, the hints and tips section is now well underway and I'll also shortly be doing a section on editing advanced scripts for use with quake2.
Have added a couple of new models and more of the Male skins as well, am also currently doing up the utils and mods sections as I've decided to split them up into separate sections, as well as checking out some new maps. My main prob is that I have to keep as much of the stuff as possible off-site as I only have limited space which is why I only really keep the skins on-site.
Up until this point I haven't really been advertising the site much, I've been waiting for it to be in a semi-finished state before I started to do that, it's almost there, so I'll start advertising it shortly. Tweeked the Sidebar graphics a bit and added new buttons for the ones that didn't have them at the same time. Pretty much all the new Female Skins are up, now for the Males, it takes ages to sift through them because there are a lot of doubles and dodgy ones (Does anyone else get annoyed with those completely black ones!, mind you to get around this you can modify the weapon skin and change it to bright green or something as a camper counter-measure) On another note: I've decided to start up a little charity fund called 'Buy this poor sodd a BMW please!' contact me for more info, well it's woth a try :)
The new setup for the skins section is pretty much complete now, just maybe a few tweeks here and there. Now all I have to do is add the new skins, the main problem with that is sifting through them all so I only put up decent ones, i.e. no blacked out ones or duplicates of another one. I'll most likely add the females first as there's a lot less of them too weed through. Have also added a few new models to for you to try, the Boba Fett one in particular is quite well done.
Got a wad of new skins to put up so I'll get that done sometime today although it looks as though I'll have to change the way the skins sections works as I will be adding too many to have in a simple list like the way it currently is. The most likely way to do it is to split it up into a page for each model (i.e. male, female and misc). I will also be looking at a load of levels so I'll get them up by the weekend. Got a Message Board up and running now, cool :)
Ugh, groan, the usual things that first come to mind on Monday morning after a fairly spectacular night out again. Needless to say I never managed to get up for college :) Does anyone know of a way to get animated skins, just something simple like it changes slightly when you fire (i.e. he laughs when firing) as too many changes would slow it down. I've tried using a script but the problem comes when giving it the skin names as you need to use quotation marks so it thinks it's just the end of the statement, hmm, short of coding a DLL i'm stumped, and I'd rather not have to do that. Clan Aftershock is still looking for more members, if you're interested in joining, no matter what skill level, take a peek and see, it's not only quake2 they play but also Jedi Knight, diablo and whatever else. Also any clans interested in a match contact either me or Tizer(Contact address on the Aftershock web pages)
Have tweaked some of the graphics a bit, still not entirely happy with the menu buttons on the left but I'll get around to them later as the ones I have just now are ok. Due to the fact that I have a large amount of work to do for my college this will tend to be getting left on the backburner for now, I really love the way it all falls apart on the last few weeks of the course.
