WARK PAST AND PRESENT: A new large resource pack is in preparation thanks to Scottish Arts Council funding. It will contain factual and historical information, stories, poems, songs, plays for the classroom, games, illustrations and maps, all connected with the farming, fishing, mining, textiles, ship-building, oil production, distilling and tourism of the past and the present day, based on the use of Scots. Two cassettes will accompany the pack with the poems, songs and stories on them, and there will be suggestions for work in the classroom, further reading and for creative writing. |
