The Second Birth

Each human has a FIRST BIRTH from a maternal womb.
And we have no choice about it : it is a kind of fatal doom
Some father and some mother share the birth process,
And this applies to EVERY BIIRTH from a Pope to a princess
So let us contemplate the case of a SON born of a GOD.
And you must admit it is fanciful and very very ODD.
In fact it is INCREDIBLE that Jesus Christ could be,
Fathered by Jehovah and a VIRGIN mystery.
This is a lie that churchmen tell from age to age,
And now, let us be HONEST, it is NOT BELIEVED BY ANY SAGE.
Only brain-washed SHEEP believe it and I ASSUREDLY SUBMIT,
That there is NO TRUTH about it : it cannot be HOLY WRIT.
This is WHY religion crumples when any churchman tries to say,
The substance of THE APOSTLES’ CREED on COMMUNION DAY.
Yet this is the basis on which Kirk Christians expect us to live.
They expect us all -- one day -- to form on this statement our 2nd birth.
This 2nd birth is the most important one for peace on earth.
For providing us with a COMMON STANDARD of TRUTH and morality.
Which must be so chosen that it will supersede all other faiths,
Whether Humanism or Christian or Islamic or Jewish or Atheist.
It must serve to bring all personal creeds under a single dominant motivation
I have ruled out all religious and irreligious concepts.
I submit that the true purpose of living things is UNKNOWN TO ALL OF US.
This belief is the most realistic assessment I can imagine.
But if anyone can propose a better one let us hear it on this site!
I assume the SECOND BIRTH assumption is a VOLUNTARY ONE;
It marks a person as having decided to live thoughtfully in the COSMOS.
With absolute freedom of speculation about what living things are FOR,
And since we alone have creative mental planning capabilities.
WE MUST HELP TO STEER THE UNIVERSE BEFORE WE END OUR DAYS
So with this as a purpose let us now agree to try ,
To live and love as buddies beneath one global sky.
