I, EDWARD GRAHAM MACFARLANE, pioneer of World Forum, recently suggested that a global democratic social system might adopt a daily statement of ideological intent to be spoken daily in the central and all the regional parliaments of the world.

This statement was worded as follows:--

"Once more dear friends let us avow, We now renew a basic vow, That we will think as humans now, That all our plans will plainly be, For human welfare ideally. A science era we will see. Established over land and sea. A world parliament we will plan, To institute Laws and Rules for Man, With links to-every parliament here, Within the world we all hold dear."

Well I sent a copy of the proposed ritual exercise to Mr Donald Dewar MP who is the chief designer of the new proposed parliament in Scotland and I was pleased to receive the following response despite having a reservation that the statement proposed is not a prayer but a daily avowal of intent which might be made by religious and irreligious persons alike -- which is a very important principle to adhere to when legislating for a FREEDOM-LOVING area like Scotland.

If this "news item" is not reproduced by the media and press people I think I may have to publish an open letter from WORLD FORUM to the British Prime Minister to ensure that a BRITISH-CHRISTIAN motivated communications service is prevented from keeping the British people in the dark.
