New Ireland, New Dangers
 
I can't say it surprised me when the PREMIER with the RC wife,
Is seen with SINN FEIN republicans to plead for his "GOOD FRIDAY" life.
For I have thought for fifty years or more that God and King rejectors,
Will one day hold the floor of a global democracy , (a republic evermore!)
I have sent messages to editors nearly all my carnal life,
And the expense of doing so has been lamented by my wife.
But because she agreed to live and love with me,
Not churchy vows but our own thoughts have guided her and me.
We had courtship walks in country lanes and talked ourselves into,
The number of our family and the way we'd treat them too.
We thought ourselves superior to the folk who went to kirks,
As well as crazy Scotsmen who still stick to kilts and dirks.
When men with turbans came around we deplored them as well,
But saw them all as brain-washed minds which might cause war's hell.
We were right about the latter for Saddam Hussein proved to all,
That a world of many sovereign states was the greatest dool of all.
The ANGLO-IRISH AGREEMENT came along beside the IRA
And the GOD-fearing Maggie Thatcher made her dinosaurish play
She advised the mugs in USA to send their troops and bombs
Instead of global democrats to advise union instead of tombs.
For that is the real peace process, not conniving guys like BLAIR,
Blair declared himself an ANGLICAN and that was how he won,
The narrow-minded English voters determined things he's done.
Blair is WRONG to back-up Clinton for strikes with Western planes
For peace is made by democracy as we we have seen in EU lanes.
For Arabs in their nations are just as wrong to think,
That international warring will end the warlords interlink.
Blair should understand that Saddam thinks he has a right,
To call his FELLOW PATRIOTS and, like Clinton, have a fight.
But that is not the way to plan an eventual global peace.
We must see that global democracy alone will make wars cease.
We must sack part-world medias and create a World BC
To end the international mess made by organs like the BBC.
First of all we stop the slogan that is broadcast several times a day,
About "nations speaking peace to nations' which is "big fib" I say,
Blair is WRONG to be an Anglican for that is sectarian still,
And NEW DEMOCRACY is better than his NEW LABOUR pill.
My title has been taken from The Daily Telegraph (See leader 27-II-98)
And there is truth in this although it may make you laugh.
Blair could be charged with treason for his DUBLIN call,
And his "historic action" should bring his PM downfall.
But a weakness of internationalism is that it is just a mess,
And media and press MOGULS have many ideologies I guess.
But if we want a peaceful nation we must have one agreed "fact"
That will make for wise and certain unity without a 'separatist' act.
But understand this clearly the "proper base" for me, is,
LET US ALL BE HUMANS and a democrat like me!
