Here are my nominations for BEST MAN, BEST WOMAN and WORST PERSON of this Century ending the 2nd Millennium. MIHAIL GORBACHEV is my choice as BEST MAN for his efforts to inspire human unity and global democracy to end the menace of international anarchy and a nuclear inter-cultures world wars. Shirley Williams is my choice for BEST WOMAN for her efforts to eliminate the political CLASS STRUGGLE and to introduce supra-nationalist social law and order by writing “POLITICS IS FOR PEOPLE” . Boris Yeltsin gets a big raspberry for his really stupid agenda of destroying the Soviet Union by planning a world of independent republics instead of a single human nation of mankind. The worst evidence so far has occurred in RUSSIAN attacks on Chechnya -- utterly callous destruction of a part of Gorbachev’s plan for world union. |
