When I woke up this morning,
I dreamt Geo had just kissed me,
"Did you forget the M.O.T?"
This gave me an idea,
Which I now transmit to you,
How would it do to create a GDR?
Of all who hold this vital view.
Being an egotistic father,
I thought I'd be the first to sign,
But 'conscience Ed'. be careful
Of Feminists on the line.
Anyway I decided to be second,
'After my dear wife Geo,
For I know she will agree to it,
She has often told me so.
So, "Ladies First!" it has to be,
The first name ‘GEO’ will be,
On the list of names submitted,
For the GDR to be, by me!
I see Prince Charles has had a meeting,
With Alex of the SNP,
No doubt he will be hoping,
That he will save the Monarchy.
But I'm a confirmed democrat,
And World Republican as well.
So the GDR I have in mind,
With anti-aristocrats will swell.
Citizens in both US parties,
And in all British parties too,
That is why we should be glasnost,
And hear all points of view,
About what we are here to do.
Unlike some 'reverends, around me,
I have never styled pretence,
That I have talked to God,
Or claimed moral omnipotence,
I leave that to the LIARS,
Of religion like the-Popes,
Who have prayed and preyed on human hopes,
But they and Ayatollahs
May one day live to see,
A single democratic nation,
With a single tongue and currency,
The WORLD A SINGLE COUNTRY,
Is our PRIMAL NEED ASAP
So let us start the Register,
And work for a world majority.
