self-appointed poet laureate on the global people scene
A Poem of Praise for Raisa
Dear Mihail let me join you and others who are very sad to find,
That your own special RAISA has departed and left you behind,
I regret I did not meet her while on Earth she lived her life,
But glad that I could see her on the media as your wife.
She was brilliant as your consort and I hope you now will be,
Remembering her with pleasure in your closer company.
For I am certain many other globalists will also be,
Remembering her presence and her undoubted skill,
In displaying her ability to convey her friendly will.
For all the human people now present here with us,
As potential global citizens without aristocratic fuss.
For that is the pattern of the future so far as I can see,
Human beings in one nation is a cosmic certainty,
Not Russians and Chechnyans or Scots and Irish too,
Lift up your minds all PERSONS and create one global crew.
Let us all be HOMOS SAPIENS as “filosofers” have dared to say,
And the scourge of part-world patriotisms will surely pass away,
A world of separate nations and separate armies too,
Is, ALAS!, a possibility which evil folk will offer you,
But a WORLD OF ARMIED NATIONS simply will not do,
The PERESTROIKA FUTURE must still be listened too,
The memory of RAISA should lift our minds once more,
To be GLOBALISTS and DEMOCRATS,
TO THAT WE SHOULD ALL SAY,
E N C O R E !!!
