THE LITTLE PRESIDENT

When I became a Teacher.
I soon began to see.
That I had been appointed,
To rule a classroom in Dundee.
The pupils were the citizens,
From the clever to the dim,,
And though I was not the headmaster,
I chose to understudy him.
One day a boy was cheeky,
So I quickly slapped his face,
Then up came an irate mother.
To put me-right about my place.
Now that slapping was forbidden,
I had to go and buy a STRAP,
And the pupils quickly named me,
THE ‘SPANKIE MICKEY' CHAP.
This taught the younger pupils,
I believed in 'punishment extreme'
And made my life much easier
Upon the grievous `belting' scheme.
I admit I was a ‘belter'.
It was the legal thing to do,
And I sometimes belted a whole class,
If a delinquent did not come into view,
I felt I was a little Hitler.
And it worried me to realise,
That in a multi-nations world.
Men like POL POT do arise.
Who do not merely belt their subjects,
But deprive them of their lives,
As a 'solution, of a 'problem'
As it was seen by POL POT'S eyes.
This IMPELLED me to be POLITICAL
In a GLOBAL DEMOCRATIC way,
To reach dictator-free solutions,
For some 'problems" on our globe today!
If I was GLOBAL PRESIDENT,
I would not hesitate to rule.
That the `guilty or `not' of Clinton.
would be settled by THE GLOBAL REFERENDUM tool.
