A LAST FAREWELL TO MY LASS GEO.

Time like an ever-flowing stream bears all our friends away;
And now that you have passed away my thoughts are on that memory.
We had over 67 years together from our first meeting to your end.
When all the boasted medical knowledge failed your ills to mend,
I was sitting wondering about you and what is happening to you now.
All the questions that philosophers cannot answer anyhow.
You and I were really special for we told the truth we could see.
Nobody really knows the reason for our presence in this possible comedy.
I guessed we had a purpose but how can we all be sure,,
That the purpose is a cosmic one that can make world peace endure.
We have a world of selfish nations with national eminence the clue.
Which seems to energise the armies the nations have chosen too.
But we do not need a world of nations when global unity can be.
The basic purpose moving ONE GREAT DRIVE TO COSMIC UNANIMITY.
I was a technical teacher and have always understood.
That we can plan a single nation if we reject the international warring mood.
We must choose a basic loyalty theory which unifies all HUMANITY,
Not putting USA or UK or IRAN or PALESTINE or ZIMBABWE as our social loyalty.
Let us BURN the national images in a great big single pile.
Transfer our political talents to a Christ-like UNITY.
Combined with " A FUTURE FAIR FOR ALL THE FATHERS AND MOTHERS OF HUMANITY."
AND I DO NOT THINK OUR LIVES WILL BE DISAPPOINTING FOR FOLK LIKE GEO AND ME!
