Many thanks for asking further news about the death notice of my beloved wife.
Which I attach herewith as an attempt I make to tell you more about her life.
Georgina Laing was her full name but I just called her "GEO",
For GEO means the whole cosmos and I often used to tell her so.
She was one of 15 children in a Scottish family.
And this fact seemed to be important to an aspiring dad like me±
She was 15 when I met her first in a Fife farm new Year dance.
So we agreed to have four children as a family estimate in advance.
She was otherwise attractive and the clinching thought for me,
Was that she already was a humanist without encouragement from me,
We were married by the Sherriff of Edinburgh and she consented to agree,
That the children would be unbaptised nor sent to any non humanist entity.
I was an atheist humanist teacher and this pleased me mightily
For I had often thought it possible my wife might not agree with me
Meeting Geo dispersed my worries and we had a loving ideal married life.
Last year we celebrated our 67th wedding anniversary.
And nobody could have been happier than we tried to appear,
But Geo then had a setback she had a malady of the mind.
Which eventually made her speechless, and incontinent and blind.
She warned me clearly she was going to die -- "QUITE SOON" she said to me,
Her words were true.Her breathing got weaker and faded utterly.
The mortal end of my dear wife's life had at last come due.
