Belief that every mind can change

I have two cheery J Ws who come to tell me every fortnight, their "good news".
And I appreciate their attention even if THE WEATHER leads their views.
They are "JEHOVAH's WITNESSES" and I think their bond with me,
Is that I am only seeking TRUTH with which to steer our HUMAN COMPANY,
They are aware I am a FREETHINKER who has rejected every godly creed.
And Carolyn once referred to me as a "John the Baptist" [who will not succeed]
But that is just a matter of opinion and it may not be very long.
Before my yen for "NO MORE BAPTISMS" may become the HUMAN SONG,
Before Geo and I got married we agreed to try for children -- FOUR!
Which was the current number which was advised for a PLENTY human score.
Geo was, is , one of fifteen children born to Rubina Laing.
And Rubina was said to think that's her number if she could live again.
But human minds are changeable -- which is my theme today.
For the miracle of being alive is destined to pass away.
Carolyn may not agree with me that the BIG BANG was the start.
Of the tremendous show of animals and things like the weather plays a part.
For all humans live by theories of what life is all about.
And the part that we can play in it while we are in here with a shout,
We must get rid of ancient theories before science came to use,
To alter all the theories that our forefathers thought were right to choose.
Before Darwin's talk of EVOLUTION of the mammals birds and fleas
Which served to make us humble tillers of the soil and multi-national pleas.
We need BETTER EDUCATION after men have walked upon the moon.
An event which startled many and brought many mental changes soon.
We may be here to steer some process of supranational RIGHTS to see.
Emplyed by global humanists and scientists like you and you and me.
We can create a GLOBAL SINGLE NATION instead of international warring doom,
Choose a single new global constitution to bring humans peace & plenty soon.
Jehovah and other HEAVEN-SENT characters are just echoes of jungle tales.
NONE of the UNIUVERSE-CREATING stories are more than adult FAIRY-TALES.
