A PLEA TO BAN FOX-HUNTING AS AN UPPER-CLASS ISSUE

When a fellow comes and asks you outright, "Is fox-hunting RIGHT or WRONG ?
There is no use of saying lamely. 'THIS IS AN UNIMPORTANT SONG ".
One should use the democratic freedom implied in this request,
Which might be global-altering which I at least think is best.
I was born in a fox-hunting neighbourhood of lovely EDEN VALE.
Where the wealthy upper class with riding horses could prevail,
Over the horseless workers on whom rabbit-trapping might mean jail.
When I look round the world today I see animal cruelty here and there.
Bull fights among the Spaniards would be BETTER not being there.
Cock-fighting and bear-baiting both seem horrible to me
SO "BAN THEM ALL" is my advice for a world democracy.
But GLOBAL PATRIOTISM is not widely spread among chauvinist baboons,
OR a world of semi-civilized savages who revel in national tunes.
Singing songs like "RULE BRITANNIA" or "GOD SAVE THE [British] Queen."
And anti-global nationalisms the most warlike songs I'VE SEEN.
NATIONALISTIC INDEPENDENCIES THAT OBSTRUCT A WORLD IN PEACE SERENE.
WHAT ON EARTH do national flags do, but arouse wars of nations too.
So say FAREWELL to scenes of fox-hunting if anyone asks YOU..
And remind all that cock and bull practices need extermination too.
