Kevin Ross Associates was established by Ken Maitland in 1990, to provide electronic product design services. His aim was to use his wide experience and expertise in the electronics industry to provide a high quality, cost-effective and timely service to meet clients needs.

KRA has extensive experience in the design of electronic products for high volume production as well as specialist low volume products. Expertise includes hardware and software skills in microprocessor and digital electronics. Microprocessor systems experience ranges from 4-bit microcontrollers to 32-bit computer systems. Safety and EMC requirements are fully understood.

The company has experience in both surface mount and conventional electronic assembly techniques. A knowledge of various product enclosure techniques is available including various plastic technologies, cast and fabricated metal.

The company has been involved in projects covering a wide range of application areas on behalf of customers of various sizes. Product areas include financial terminals, energy management, data acquisition, data communication and industrial instrument interfaces.

The charging structure depends on the type and amount of work involved and in many cases a fixed price can be given. Work can be carried out at the companies, or the customers, site depending on the circumstances and the customers preference.

Located at Hillend in Fife, close to the M90 motorway, gives easy access to all parts of Scotland as well as the rest of Britain. The company is situated within fifteen minutes travelling time of Edinburgh airport and less than five minutes from an east coast mainline railway station.
