Soroba and Dunbeg Railway
G SCALE NARROW GAUGE
A SCALE MILE OF TRACK AROUND OUR GARDEN

A model railway in the garden.

It always creates a comment - from an embarrassed giggle to out and out envy.

The track is brass on wooden sleepers at 32 mm gauge.
Locomotives are steam or battery powered and built to G scale narrow gauge.
The line runs the length of the garden with bridges, and cuttings and a level crossing at the footpath to the waterfowl park - a scale mile at present.
The line is operated as a hobby and, as I am now working from home, I have put aside Sunday afternoons from 1p.m. to 3p.m. to enjoy it. Anyone is welcome to join me.

This website (thanks to my wife Jill who is the webmaster in our household) will give me the opportunity to share my hobby with any one who is interested.
Please follow any links that take your fancy - and let me know if there is anything I have missed and I will try and add it at sometime.

The line is open most of the year, weather permitting, and trains are run for the entertainment of visitors to the poultry & waterfowl park and garden centre when I am free. Garden railway enthusiasts are welcome at any time, with or with out models, but please phone or email beforehand. There are very few people in this area operating in the garden and you would be more than welcome.
