Angus McTangus left Perth via Bear Mail on Monday 27 April to travel 9500 miles to Ross Park Primary School, Alice Springs, Australia.

While Angus is away a friend from Ross Park will come to stay with us at Kinnoull.

Will Angus come back with a sun tan ?

Angus having a last look at the playground with Mairi, Ailsa and Helen who made him his hat to keep the sun off his head in Australia.

He said he couldn't bear the wait, but we persuaded him to pause for a photo before setting off on his travels.

That same morning a nice e-mail from Ross Park arrived and we were pleased to hear that Angus McTangus had arrived safely in Alice Springs and was having a great time visiting the homes of the children in class 3/4w.You can read the e-mail  letter by clicking here. and follow Carla's adventures in Perth here.

Lost Bear Bounces Back

Angus McTangus arrived back at school just before the end of the winter term and just in time for the Christmas parties.

Mrs Filshie took him out of his Bear Mail travel box and reintroduced him to his friends in Primary 6.

Staff from Kinnoull joined teachers from many other local schools in a series of two-day inservice courses on developing drugs education in our schools.

The courses were excellent and we all came away better equipped to take drugs education forward by giving our pupils the knowledge and skills to take action and make informed decisions about their own health.
