Our Unique Range of Russian Vodkas:

STOLICHNAYA  is the best-known Russian vodka. Its name means "Capital" and is correctly pronounced as "Sta-LEECH-na-ya" rather than "Stolich-NA-ya" (or "Stolly" as featured in Ab-Fab...!)

MOSKOVSKAYA  is the second biggest-selling vodka in the world with a distinctive green label. A lot of Russians prefer its slightly different taste.

STOLICHNAYA CRISTALL & MOSKOVSKAYA CRISTALL   are "5-star" variants of the first two vodkas:  they are double-distilled and taste AMAZINGLY smooth....!

RUSSKAYA  vodka ranks No 3 in world sales-volume and historically was the biggest seller in Russia itself. But that might have been because the Soviet government reserved the others only for export...!

SIBIRSKAYA  at 43% is a bit stronger than the other standard brands. Its Siberian distillery became bankrupt after the fall of the Soviet Union but fortunately has now been resurrected. It is particularly superb served from the deep freeze.

PETER The GREAT  vodka was a specially-prepared brand for the famous Tsar and is still very popular amongst people from that great cultural city.

PYATISZVEZDNAYA  ("Five-Star") vodka is also an excellent spirit from St Petersburg.

Two higher-strength products complete our range of standard grain-based (non-flavoured) vodkas:

STOLOVAYA ("Table Vodka") is 50% while KREPKAYA ("Strong") is 56%
- you should try one - but one ONLY...!

Now, let's explore our flavoured vodkas with a different base or additive....

We are a little suspicious of large bottles of plain vodka with "something floating in the bottle" which are sometimes offered as a "flavoured vodka product".....! All our Russian flavoured vodkas have their ingredients added during the distillation process and a special label denoting the flavour is affixed to the bottle.

KALINKA only offers AUTHENTIC flavoured vodkas....!

LIMONNAYA  "lemon" is our most popular flavoured vodka.

PERTSOVKA  "pepper" is also very popular and one or two of our customers who like to drink it "neat" all night must have an asbestos throat....!

OKHOTNICHYA  "Hunter's vodka" has an orange and herb base and its more gentle spicy taste makes it a suitable choice for repeat rounds.

ZUBROVKA  "Bison vodka" uses an unusual gentle blend of herbs to give a very subtle flavour.

KUBANSKAYA   is a clear vodka made from an orange and lemon base in Southern Russia.

STARKA   is a dark coloured vodka made from a base of mixed fruit.

ANISOVAYA is an aniseed-flavoured clear vodka tasting similar to French products like Pernod.

Finally, we keep several vodka products from other ex-Soviet Republics:

There are two "sweet" vodka liqueurs in BLACKCURRANT and WILD STRAWBERRY flavours. These come from the Baltic State of Estonia and can be drunk at the end of a meal with the dessert.

And from the Ukraine we can offer OLD KIEV and GORILKA (honey) vodkas.

Russians typically drink their vodka neat, and frequently direct from the deep freeze. They often have a soft drink (or Shampanskoye ) alongside as a chaser, but never mix anything with the vodka itself. It is normal to give a toast with each round.

However, please drink our vodkas the way YOU prefer...!

We can also prepare Vodka Cocktails like BLACK RUSSIAN or HARVEY WALLBANGER .

Russian Sparkling Wines

Russia also produces an excellent selection of Sparkling Wines which are popularly known as SHAMPANSKOYE. We offer the KRIM brand of Brut White Shampanskoye from Moscow, but also have (quite rare) Red and Rose Shampanskoyes from Rostov in South Russia.
