IPA World Wide
IPA is an interdisciplinary non-governmental organisation, providing an international forum and
advocacy for the promotion of Article 31 and play opportunities for children. It works closely with
many international organisations and is recognised by UNESCO, UNICEF and ECOSCO.

It has individual and corporate members
in some 50 countries and membership opens up contacts between playworkers,
researchers, educators, planners, designers and politicians around
the world.

It organises a World Conference every
three years - The 2008 conference will be held in Hong Kong. The 2002
conference was in Sau Paulo, Brazil, and the 2005 conference in Berlin,
Germany. Associated study tours are arranged. Regional conferences
also take place in Asia, Europe and North America. National branches
also organise conferences, meetings and events.

It publishes a magazine PlayRights
and commissions books and pamphlets on play matters. It maintains
an international resource centre in London.
