Our annual celebration of a strong traditional music scene allows our prestigious festival event to showcase the best of Highland music makers.
Younger and more established acts have been launched from our event in the past. Most recently the overlapping bands Fire in the Bog and Croft No 5 have had an early push from this event. They will aid the outreach programme this year.
A programme of eight traditional music sessions have been arranged in the weeks leading up to the festival. This is the subject of an application to SAC under the Education and Outreach programme. We are collaborating with Feis Rois, Feis Chataibh and Feis Chille Mhoraig; with the Plockton Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, TMSA Highland Branch and several hotels to encourage a greater participation of the core Highland audience and new younger players.
