Historic Burghs Association of Scotland Membership |
There are several categories of membership: Full Membership Local Authorities having within their administrative areas historic burghs, towns or cities of outstanding architectural interest which have a historic central area, the qualities and character of which remain substantially unaltered and conserved. National Voluntary Organisations, Community Councils and Civic Societies with interests relevant to the objects of the Association representing burghs, towns and cities as defined above. Educational Establishments and Individuals with interests relevant to the objectives of the Association. Associate Membership Commercial Companies and Larger Firms where membership will be beneficial to the Association. Smaller Professional firms (under 10 staff) have a special reduced subscription rate. National Government Organisations and Local Enterprise Companies with interests relevant to the objects of the Associations. Honorary Membership May be bestowed on individuals in recognition of their personal contribution to the work of the Association or to promotion of its objects in Scottish historic burghs. The current (1999) subscription rates are: Full Membership Local Authorities £100 National Voluntary Organisations £50 Community Councils / Civic Societies £25 Educational Establishments £25 Individual Membership £15 Associate Membership Commercial Companies and Larger Professional Firms £100 Smaller Professional Firms (under 10 staff) £50 National Government Organisations and Enterprise Companies £100 Cheques should be made payable to HBAS and sent with the applicants name, organisation and address to: The Administrator The Historic Burghs Association of Scotland PO Box 1124 STIRLING Scotland FK9 4ZW
