Alloa West is planned as a "Smart Village".

The aim of the development is to provide a framework for making sound policy decisions regarding future investment in the Information Society at local level.

Previous Industries include coal mining and textiles
The Alloa West Site
Total of 22 hectares of land
14 Hectares for business park development
Room for 170 homes
The opportunity for private and public sectors to participate in a planned "greenfield/brownfield" development programme

Will evolve to the needs of its residents
Develops efficient energy, waste and water systems
