From Corehead Farm, nr Moffat, Dumfries & Galloway

The Devils Beef Tub is one of the most dramatic features of the border hills and is well worth visiting. The farm is only about a mile from the main road but you have to drive to Moffat and back into the valley if coming from Tweedsmuir (or Edinburgh).

Ian Nimmo the new organiser says "This year we’re going to have a fun relay after the main event, partly because the latter is quite short and partly to encourage whole families to take part. So we’re hoping to attract juniors to the relay (where ‘juniors’ = children upwards) as well as the more serious runners wanting a second canter.
We’re going for an afternoon rather than a morning start in the belief that it’ll suit more people."

Ian's son also points out that this race is an ideal introduction for juniors.

A perfect venue for a family day out IMHO!
