I've organised this for a number of years since the inimitable Frank WA Smith saw fit to move south. The race is only just a long but is still a real challenge. There is a pleasant rythym about the way the climbs come. The course crosses two valleys on the way out and the same two on the way back.
Finishing at the Crook is always a good idea too.
