Tarland is a beautiful setting that we visited a couple of years ago for an open garden. On a day of bright, bright showery weather I went for a run up one of the hills behind the village. A mix of arable crops then some woodland and finally rough grazing with a track to the low top made for a great run. Is this where the race goes?

The village has some sort of posh hoose which might be an agricultural college with some more modern architecture of renown. It was all lovely so I would recommend the venue. Generally show races are lots of fun too.
