Stephen Pearce
We stock two ranges of Stephen Pearce's earthenware - the classic 'Traditional' (Terracotta and Creamy White) and the striking 'Shanagarry' (Black and White) range. Both ranges are extremely resilient as well as beautiful and are made to be used in everyday life.
Stephen Pearce's designs come from a pottery located near the village of Shanagarry,
in Ireland. All pieces are handmade and hand decorated, and
follow a 250 year tradition of craftsmanship in East Cork.
Stephen digs his clay locally and then purifies and ages it
to maturity. Each pot passes through 18 hand processes according
to the traditional method. These earthenware pieces are good
for keeping milk and butter cool in summer.

St Jean de Fos
This beautiful pottery is hand crafted by artisans in the south of France using centuries old methods. It is sturdy and hard wearing, excellent for keeping food and water cool in the summer, and will cope well with everyday use. The kiln fired glaze will gain character as it ages and over time take on its own unique finish. This range of pottery includes jugs and plates as well as more distinctive pieces such as an omelette dish. It is imported into the UK by Catriona McLean, who is also reknowned for her ranges of Mediterranean garden pottery and steel furniture.

Robert Goldsmith
Robert Goldsmith established the Selborne Pottery in 1985 in the Hampshire
village of the same name. It has since gained much recognition
for its beautiful glazed pottery, winning the prestigious
'Gift of the Year' award in 1999 with its Gold Lustre range.
The pottery is entirely hand thrown and turned. The finished
pot's red copper and cobalt blue glazes are strikingly beautiful,
featuring high temperature stoneware glazes, fine brushwork,
wax resist and glaze trailing. The Specials range has a richness
and depth not normally seen on stoneware, the result of the
glaze being hand decorated with gold lustre then re-fired.
Although decorative, the pots are oven and dishwasher safe
and are tough enough for regular use.
