The Gallery
Upstairs from the main shop is the Gallery, which displays
paintings, sculptures, furniture, casts, etchings and other
objét d'art from local artists and from around the country.
Every taste is catered for - whether it be the elegance of
Glen Lucas's turned square wood bowls, Sheryl Brown's silver
castings, or the bold, contemporary humour of our granite
and steel garden fountains (right).

Patrick Amarouche Sculptures
The swooping curves and ochre hues of these elegant sculptures by Patrick Amarouche are very individual. Patrick Amarouche was trained in France and Spain and the meditteranean influence shows in these exquisite pieces.
|
Greenmantle Baskets
These eye catching baskets are hand woven around a polished wooden
base. Each one is unique and takes its shape from the natural
warp and characteristics of the wood.
|
Sheryl Brown
These charming etchings and castings are the work of artist
Sheryl Brown. The sculptures (right) are cast in solid silver
and are bursting with vibrant humour. They are presented in
a deep glass case to show off their three dimensions.
The etchings (above) share the humour, dynamic lines and
surrealism of the castings.

Julie Shiels Ocean Sibling Sculptures
These elegant vase sculptures are the work of reknowned ceramic
artist Julie Shiels. The bleached whites and soft blues of
the pottery is reminiscent of sea shells and the smooth organic
curves and matte finish add to the feeling that these are
living sculptures.
We also carry a range of ceramics by Julie Shiels featuring
teapots, cups and bowls. Click
here for more information.

Glen Lucas Turned Square Wooden Bowls
These wooden bowls capture perfectly the balance of elegance
and strength inherent in wood. Glen Lucas painstakingly turns
these bowls by hand, slowly bringing out the gentle curve
and dip of the bowl. Each bowl is unique and, properly cared
for, will last a lifetime whether used to hold fruit or pot
pourri.
