Body Positive Tayside was initiated in 1992 through the need for HIV positive people and those directly personally affected by HIV to come together in safe and welcoming environment to share experiences and support from each other.  From its inception Body Positive Tayside has adhered to the philosophy of self-help, whereby the organisation is managed by and for people who are HIV positive and directly affected by HIV.

Body Positive Tayside would like to express gratitude to its management committee members, volunteers, staff and its members, both past and present. We would also like to thank our funders and the many companies, charitable trusts, statutory and voluntary organisations, and individuals who have supported Body Positive and helped it to grow into the organisation it is today.
